When you ask the AI for Tea Bonmots

Messing around with ChatGPT is fun, but fun alone these days won't get me anywhere... I mean running a startup company plus family divides the day into two parts: Work and Sleep. So having fun with an AI must count as work. I need to convince myself that I was doing a productive thing...

Now - I try to let the AI work for me. Research for example. Proverbs about tea, something that I can post on a daily basis on social media, just to remind our followers at RealiTea, that we are still alive.

Turns out, as exciting tea is as such, the proverbs about tea look something like this:

• "A cup of tea a day keeps the worries away."
• "Tea time is always a good time."
• "Tea is liquid wisdom."
• "Better to be deprived of food for three days, than tea for one." - Ancient Chinese Proverb
• "Tea is a beverage that puts the day to sleep." - Chinese Proverb
• "Tea is a cup of life." - Japanese Proverb
• "Tea is a plant that turns the cup into a magic potion." - Unknown
• "Tea is the elixir of life." - Unknown
• "Where there's tea there's hope." - Arthur Wing Pinero
• "Tea, the refreshing drink that clears the mind and awakens the senses." - Chinese Proverb

I mean "Tea is the elixir of life"? Really? While quite close to the truth I admit, it makes for an exceptionally bad proverb. A proverb should be a bonmot, something unexpected, something funny, something enlightening. I admit #5 is pretty good, a beverage that puts the day to sleep. But liquid wisdom? Come on!y<
Take a look at these coffee quotes and you know what I mean:

The first one is just absolutely hilarious, every caffeine addict can relate to that. Hug in a mug not only rhymes, but it evokes such good feelings. #3 brings up childhood memories... Now some are better than others, but on average if you compare the two sections, coffee quotes win 10x over tea quotes here. Is it the AI, is it me or do we have no good tea quotes on the internet? Of course some coffee bonmots can just be stolen and turned into wise words about Camellia sinensis, but nonetheless I find it a bit sad that a beverage that is flipping our switch to green for a thousand years longer than the other, has no proper proverbs to post.

I mean who am I to talk big, just right now I am sitting here, sipping my morning cup of coffee while writing about tea...
